The Mission of the Coalition for Heroin and Opioid Prevention is to bring the deadly problem of heroin and opioid dependence/misuse to the attention of our community, and to plan and coordinate an organized response to this serious problem. This response will include:
Identifying areas of need and targeting community organizations and services.
The Missouri Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) Council is a network of representatives from each established local council across the state, Community Mental Health Liaisons (CMHLs), state agencies and associations, and those with lived experience. The Council works to address any structural barriers at the state level and advocates for policy and legislative changes that may be necessary to support health and wellness. The Council also provides direction and support on the CIT curriculum, training expansion, and implementation of the program.
The Regional Family Crisis Center is a domestic and sexual violence shelter. They provide emergency shelter services 24/7, 365 days a year. All services are free and confidential. Services include a 24 hour hotline, crisis intervention, case management, personal advocacy, domestic and sexual violence support group, life skills groups, parenting classes, children's programs, safety planning, court advocacy, child advocacy, financial empowerment, and information/ referral.

Empowering Dads to Gain Employment, or EDGE, works to maximize resources to develop and deliver a wide range of services that improve the lives of individuals, children and families, and to build strong neighborhoods and community. They focus on supporting parents in reaching their employment goals, while helping them support their family.

Sana Lake Recovery Center is committed to helping the greater region of the Midwest by offering all levels of care and operated by the most compassionate and qualified staff. Southeast Prevention Resource Center is housed on the SEMO University campus and serves 6 counties, which include Bollinger, Cape Girardeau, Madison, Perry, Scott, and Ste. Genevieve.
